Son and student of TKV Desikachar, Kausthub began his yoga lessons very early in his life. By the time he was 13, he started teaching children, and is today recognized as one of the specialists in teaching yoga to children. After completing his masters degree in Management Sciences, Kausthub decided to become a full time yoga teacher, and propagate the message of this great Indian discipline all over the world. He obtained a postgraduate diploma in yoga from the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram. Today he is a senior teacher at the center, and its chief administrator.
In the last few years Kausthub has been traveling all over the world and teaching various aspects of yoga at different seminars, workshops, prestigious conferences and universities. Apart from co-authoring two books
Lakshmi Viswanathan is an iconic dancer and choreographer who has extended the scope of classical Bharatanatyam to include creative works and new ideas. Her Tanjavur style of solo dance with her eloquent Abhinaya has been widely acclaimed and has earned her the sobriquet of a "legend". Her group choreography has been stunning and path-breaking in theme, and style. She has explored many themes, and enriched the dance repertoire in all her work spread over three decades. Originally trained by great Gurus, foremost among them being Kanjivaram Ellappa, Lakshmi evolved her own style and has performed in all the major centres of India, and done our country proud with her engagements in prestigious international festivals like Jacobs Pillow, USA. As a keen researcher she has authored several books, the latest being "Women of Pride - The Devadasi Heritage" (Roli Books - 2008). Nritya Chudamani, Kalaimamani and the Sangeet Natak Academi National Award are some of the high honours she has received.
In the sphere of Carnatic music, Padma Bhushan Sri Lalgudi G. Jayaraman is another name for perfection and musical excellence. Endowed with extraordinary intelligence, blessed with a photographic memory combined with a finely attuned ear for aesthetics, Lalgudi revolutionized the style of violin playing, inventing a whole new technique which came to be known as the Lalgudi Bani. His flawless and fascinating style, graceful, firmly rooted in tradition, yet original and innovative, gained him innumerable fans. This multi-dimensional genius is also a composer par excellence and has to his credit several 'kritis', 'tillanas' and 'varnams', which are a scintillating blend of raga, rhythm, bhava and lyrical beauty.

The Malladi Brothers namely Sreerama Prasad and Ravi Kumar hail from a family of illustrious musicians of Andhra Pradesh. Their grandfather Sri Malladi Sreerama Murthy was a great musician and Harikatha exponent. They had their initial training under their father Sri Malladi Suri Babu, a disciple of Sri Voleti Venkateswarulu and Sangeetha Kalanidhi Sri Nedunuri Krishnamurthy. Under the able guidance of the latter, they were groomed into successful concert performers. Indeed they are among the best and most sought after musicians today on account of their immaculate technique, deep knowledge and fertile creativity.
Besides possessing a rich repertoire of kritis of the Musical Trinity, Malladi Brothers have also specialized in Narayana Theertha Tarangams, Annamacharya compositions, Padams, Javalis and other compositions. They have toured extensively all over India and abroad enthralling their audiences. They are recipients of several prestigious awards including the Yuva Puraskar and Isai Peroli. They are 'A' Grade artists of All India Radio.
TKV Desikachar is the son and long-time student of the legendary yogi, T Krishnamacharya.T Krishnamacharya not only brought to light the teachings of yoga in the early twentieth century, he also opened the doors of the Vedic tradition to all who were genuinely interested in preserving this ancient legacy. His son, TKV Desikachar founded the Krishnamacharya Yoga Mandiram (KYM) in 1976. An expert in yoga and all branches of Indian philosophy, TKV Desikachar has published several books and presented a number of Vedic chant CDs with the aim of spreading the message and teachings of his teacher, T Krishnamacharya.
