The famous Carnatic singer Dr. Shyamala Balakrishnan is the sister-in-law of Dr. Padma Subramanium. Dr. Shyamala Balakrishnan devoted herself to the research on folk and classical art forms of Tamil Nadu. During her research, she found three ex-devdasis at the temple of Muruga at Viralimalai, situated presently in Puddukottai District. In her thesis, she recorded their art, history, traditions and contributions. Each temple had its own tradition of dance style and compositions. Kuttral Temple had its own composition called Kuttrala Kuravanji. Sri Kumbeshwar Temple in Kumbakonam was famous for performing Kumbkeshwar Kuravanji and Viralimalai was known for its Viralimalai Kuravanji. These used to be performed during the annual temple festival.

Dr.Pappu Venugopala Rao is a well-known Indian educationist and renowned Musicologist. He earned his doctorates in Telugu and Sanskrit and started his career as a teacher in schools and colleges. He has lectured on music, dance, religion, philosophy and literature all over the world and has published many books. Dr. Pappu is an expert committee member of the prestigious Music Academy, Chennai and also one of the Secretaries. He is also a regular reviewer of books on Music, Dance and Religion for ‘The Hindu’ and a contributing Editor for the dance and music monthly ‘Sruthi’. He has won the Best Paper Awards several times at The Music Academy, Chennai and has also won the award for the Best Lecture Demonstration of Kuchipudi Dance at Krishna Gana Sabha, Chennai.

Born of illustrious parents, Director K Subrahmaniyam (a pioneer of South Indian Cinema) and Smt.Meenakshi Subrahmanyam, a musician par excellence., Dr S V Ramanan has inherited and incorporated this unique flair for art and creativity in the cultural and film media over the last two decades.

Jayaprada Ramamurthy, the renowned Indian Classical Bamboo Flute Artiste of Hyderabad, is the daughter of famed Indian Classical Musician Mrs.Prema Ramamurthy. She is the disciple of Flute Maestro Sangita Kalanidhi Padmasri Dr.N.Ramani (Chennai, India) & Sri. N.S.Srinivasan (Hyderabad, India). Within a short span of time Jayaprada has gained immense popularity as a Solo Flutist in India and Abroad. She is one among very few female flautists who perform Solo Flute Recitals in Indian Classical Music.

Gandharva Vidyadhara Jyothy Kamath is a Carnatic music Vocalist, who has been practicing this art for more than two decades. She is also a post graduate in Music from the University of Madras and her concerts are often heard over All India Radio, Chennai and telecasted in different Television Channels. She performs regularly on stage.

K. Shanmuga Sundaram is one of India's leading classical dancers and he is considered as one of the best young male exponents of the ancient art form of Bharata Natyam. He has been fortunate to have trained intensively under the legendary dance guru Smt. K.J. Sarasa.
