SRI LALITHA SAHASRANAM STOTRAM is metrical composition in Sanskrit
with thousand names of goddess Lalitha. She, also know as Durga or Devi,
the wife of Lord Siva, One of the three Great Gods in the pantheon of
Hinduism, Endowed with great valour she slew the demons like Bhandasura
and Mahishasura and brought relief to gods who were tormented by the
demons. As Parvathi or Uma she is worshipped in unison with Siva, She
is hailed as sakthi or Energy in divine form that activated aii creatures
SRI LALITHA SAHASRANAM STOTRAM is continued in the Bhavishya
Purana, one of the several puranas or religious poems of mythological
character in Sanskrit, according to tradition its contents were conveyed
and taught by Lord Hayagrivam the fount of all knowledge, to the redoubtable
sage Agastya. As indicated in the title the Goddess is praised for Her
divine or auspicious qualities in Her thousand names. A person is assured
of happiness, health, wisom and prosperity from the daily recitation
of the STOTRAM with devotion. in the universe.
SRI LALITHA PANCHARATNAM is a short and sweet poem of fine vewses,
composed
by Sri Sankaracharya. It is in praise of Goddess Lalitha and is
recited
at the end of daily worship of the Goddess in the mornings.
