V. Sanjeev, violinist and accompanist, a prime disciple of Kalaimamani Kum. A. Kanyakumari started his musical journey inspired by his mother's guru Tanjore S. Kalyanaraman. Groomed well by his guru, he started accompanying many eminent vocalists and established himself as the most sought after accompanist. Having come under the tutelage of Guru Kanyakumari, this illustrious disciple has inherited the rendering style from his guru. The rich experience he has gained in accompanying, coupled with hard work and the strong urge to bring out the inherent musical ideas surging in his mind, has been the inspiration for 'Madhuradwani' - this twin CD album. V. Sanjeev has composed the Thillana in Pahadi.

V. Sanjeev, the violinist was adept in his solo in handling variations of emphasis on the nuances of Mukhari and Sankarabaranam. A vein of musical fervour permeated the raga pictures he painted. Good manodharma played a central contributive role in his solo versions. - S.V.K., Friday Review, The Hindu
