Music is an oral tradition and over the last century many compositions have undergone
changes and have since come to be rendered differently. Sometimes the prayogas have
been altered and in some cases the entire raga has been changed leading to the
complete disappearance of ragas like Dilipakam.
Which are the ragas that have thus been changed? What are the possible reasons for
this change? These are some of the questions that Sangita Kalanidhi Smt. R.Vedavalli
has addressed while explaining and rendereing the authentic version of the compositions.
