The instrument used in this album is the ‘sarod’. The sounds from this string instrument are used to harmonize the water element in our self with the water element in the cosmos. The soothing sounds of the sarod create a feeling of peacefulness and serenity, to help the mind relax. The sarod has been played in raag Bhairav, a raag that is commonly used in Indian devotional music. To enhance the meditative feeling, the instrumental music has been overlaid with vocals in the ‘aalaap’ form.
