A Musical Tribute To Sri Sivan SAR
A Glimpse From The Life Of Sri Sivan SAR by Sri Ganesa Sarma, Kumari JB Keerthana & Party
Sri Sivan SAR is a great Siddha Purusha! Hailing from the glorious lineage of Govinda Deekshithar, Sri SAR was the poorvasrama younger brother of Sri Kanchi Kamakoti Peetathipathi HH Sri MahaPeriyava. Shri Sadasiva Sastry alias Sivan SAR took birth on 3-OCTOBER-1904 in Eechangudi near Thiruvaiyaaru on the banks of the holy river Kaveri in the month of Purattasi and star Pushya.
He spent time in creating lots of "Nandavanams" at many places while writing the glorious spiritual treasure "Yenipadigalil Maanthargal".
With a thin saffron robe on a slender frail frame, Sri SAR was an "Ekaagra Siddhar" who had chakra Rekha in all his ten fingers, a sign of great Chakravarthis.
Sri SAR attained Mahasamadhi at Chennai on 7-March-1996 in his 91st age on a Phalguna Krishna Paksha Dvithiya thithi.
Knowing about Sri SAR‚ the sage who renounced himself, in itself is a bliss. The three golden rules for eternal bliss emphasized by Sri SAR are:
* To conduct oneself without wounding other's Heart * To lead a simple and honest family life * A mouth that doesn't utter lies SRI SIVAN SAR THUNAI
