Rithvik Raja is one of the leading young faces of Carnatic Music today. His music is fresh, youthful and vibrant with a natural flair. With a uniquely endowed voice, his straight forward approach and sincerity reflect in his performances which are showcased with faithful and bhava laden rendering of Kirtanas punctuated with abundant Manodharma. His detailed explorations in effectively bringing out the many colours of Raktitvam in ragas have helped him carve a distinct niche for himself. The Raktitvam of a raga can be defined as a unique combination of gamakas, aesthetic, elegance, tonality, texture, flavor, refinement and taste, which is very distinctive and original. Rakti Gitam, features a few compositions that beautifully capture the aesthetics of these ragas, interspersed with the singers scintillating expressions of Manodharma which adds beauty and lustre. The highlight of the album is the skillful handling of Yadukulakambhojhi and the evoking Shlokam followed by a lilting Tharangam in Neelambari.
